Once again we were up and out early for a day in Tuscany. We started our day in San Gimignano, a picturesque medieval town that has been preserved beautifully. The views were stunning and the pastery out of this world! Later on we got back on the bus to head for Siena. I loved this town with it’s ancient narrow lanes! The Piaza del Campo is the town’s center and the location of spectacular medieval-style horse race. It was on to Verrazzano Castle after an afternoon in Siena for a wine tasting. We enjoyed some famous Chianti and antipasto. Our evening took us to our hotel just outside Florence. Tomorrow it is a full day of sight-seeing in Florence!
